If you have a chainsaw, you need to build a sawbuck. It helps cut limbs and branches in a safe and efficient manner. It also keeps the chainsaw from accidentally cutting into the ground, which instantly dulls the blade. The design of my sawbuck has been well thought out and folds up for easier storage.
